PowerTrekk has unveiled the water-powered smartphone charger at the International CES 2012. This gadget is ideal for use for users who spend time away from the electricity grid. It is easy to use. You just need to pour water in the tray, place a cartridge in the tray and then connect with your smartphone via USB port. This eco-friendly smartphone charger provides around the same energy as four AA batteries and delivers around 10 hours of phone battery life. The PowerTrekk water-powered smartphone charger will be launched in May or June 2012 for approx $250 each. The replacement cartridge retails for around $4 a pop. [DVICE]
